Pining For The Baltimore Oriole

April 12, 2020

It’s a special day in the spring when you see the first Oriole arrive.  Nothing quite compares to their orange coloring and to be honest, I love the black and orange together.  That’s for the Baltimore Oriole. The Orchards have a deeper, richer, rust colored breast which is also very pretty.  If you see one around your hard, consider putting out orange slices, or better still, they seem to like grape jelly a lot.  A friend of mine had so many Orioles around that he was going through a jar a day.  Might pay to buy that stuff in bulk buddy.
