Summertime is the season for baseball around here. Fall is for football. Truth be told, I’m more into the former. I watched more Royals baseball this year than ever before…and while they didn’t have the greatest record, they provided some good entertainment.
We also like to go to some minor league games and we are blessed to have the new Kansas City prospects playing close to home in the Quad Cities. A couple guys from last year made it up to the big leagues this year so that was exciting.
This is the last weekend for the regular season of 162 games. Soon the playoffs will start, and we’ll see how makes it to the World Series. It will be hard to pick a winner this year…and as always, it will depend on how gets hot at the right time.
Fun Fact: On Sunday, the last games of the regular season, are all played at the same time, no matter the location or time zone.
