Had an old neighbor stop by the other day. He just gets better looking as the years go by. Can’t say the same for myself. Anyway, I digress. Redtails in their first year, will in fact, not have a red tail. They get that after their first moult. The other tell-tale sign that this is an older bird is the eyes…those rich, dark brown eyes indicate that this bird has been around the block a time or two.
