ISS Over Iowa #2

November 4, 2025

Over the stretch of 4 or 5 days, we had the International Space Station pass over Iowa. On two of the occasions the duration was just over 6 minutes from horizon to horizon.

On this evening, I went out to a local marsh to see if i could pick it up and use a method that would show the path of the station in one solid line. In doing this I had to separate the stars out as they would trail a bit after 6 minutes of tracking.

In the end, it was easy enough to blend two images together to get the shot I wanted.
