Switchin’ To Glide – I’m dating myself, but the song This Beat Goes On/Switchin’ To Glide came up in my head when I caught this image. It was a one hit wonder by the Kings from I think around 1980. Anyway the reference to gliding…in my attempts at using a very slow shutter speed to capture some motion of a flying eagle…everything I had up to this point involved some wing flapping, which is nice, but the glide was what I was looking for…no blurring of any part of the eagle…just the terrain it was flying past. I got a couple gliders today…made me happy…and nostalgic.
