I recently picked up the Olympus 150-400 telephoto lens. It’s a lovely piece of equipment…and the plan in getting a zoom lens was that I could adjust the field of view and not cut off some all-important body parts of the bird. With a prime lens, like the Olympus 300mm there is no adjusting this view…you get what you get…and if the bird is too close, something is likely to get cut out of the picture. I think the zoom idea will work once my brain remembers that I can use it! As this image shows, I’m not quite there yet. But in all fairness, this rapidly descending, twisting eagle, did not make keeping it in the frame very easy.
