Built in 1907, the McKee Button Company ran for decades, producing buttons of all types…starting with the pearl buttons from Mississippi river clam shells.
The building was listed on the National Register Of Historic Places in 2020.
Despite it’s age, overall the building was holding up pretty well, but time was starting to take it’s toll.
In 2022, Kent Corporation decided to purchase the building with plans to renovate it and use it as office space…while preserving its unique history in the community.
By the looks of things, they did a wonderful job!
