The Fireflies Guide To Finding Love

This Common Eastern Firefly (Photinus pyralis), female…you can tell by the larger abdomen, and the smaller lantern…males would have the entire end of the tail illuminated. She is mostly likely waiting to find a male that’s passing by. She can rotate her light to attract one…and ultimately make more fireflies. Which is a very good thing.
