Hi Folks…over the last few years I’ve thought about putting together a calendar with some of my latest eagle photographs, and this year we’re finally going to do it. I’ve selected a few of my favorites and included them in this 2021 calendar…it measures 11″ x 8.5″ and is nicely produced out of heavy stock paper and has a metal ring binder, which I think makes it hang better on the wall. I’m pleased with the way it came out.
I believe strongly in giving something back to the subject of this calendar. It is simply not possible to spend so much time watching eagles, and not come away appreciating them more for their place in the environment. But they face some threats. Injury is always possible, and usually when a raptor is hurt it becomes a death sentence. Lead poisoning is also an ongoing issue which requires prompt treatment for recovery. With this in mind I want to support those organizations who are doing the tough and demanding work that helps eagles recover. Therefore, all proceeds from the sale of the calendar this year will be donated to the charity noted below.
REGI – The Raptor Education Group Inc. out of Antigo Wisconsin does amazing work, not only in education, but in emergency care and rehabilitation for birds of all kinds. I particularly think they do good work with Bald Eagles who have been stricken with injury or lead poisoning…and they get a high volume of eagles coming through their center in the winter months.
