Spring Swans

March 10, 2021

Spring time means different things to different people but for me, it usually means watching swans at a local marsh. This year there are more there than I’ve ever seen. Several hundred would be my conservative estimate. And to think at one time in the US the species was down to about 70 birds. It would have been an epic failure if we had lost them. Thankfully though, nature often has a way of taking care of its own…when we humans get out of the way a bit, or at least direct our energies to more positive interactions with the environment.
