Snow Owl

December 27, 2020

seo-snowfall-8.jpg

I have to be honest…for as much fun as I’ve had watching and studying the Shorties, I really wanted to try to capture one with some snowfall. Today I got my wish. It would be hard to take much credit for anything other than pressing the shutter button – well maybe the research counts for something. Usually when things go exceptionally well (and today was one of those days) it’s a right place, right time, kind of thing. This was shot from my truck, parked on the roadside, while the owl hunted the field to the east of me. I’m always grateful for the opportunities as they come along.
