
It’s been said that timing is everything and that certainly holds true for eagle photographs. Some of my favorite images come from eagles on ice…fishing as the water opens up and the ice melts away. Backwaters and marinas are particularly good places for this kind of thing. Perfect timing is when the water is just opening up…with a mix of water and ice…and the eagles know to work this ice edge as it progresses along, exposing fish as it goes.
