White Pelicans are one of my favorite birds to photograph over the summer months. You can often find them around the dams on the big river, or sometimes get lucky on some backwaters as well. On this particular outing, I tried out the OM-1 camera…the new body from OM Systems (formerly Olympus). It seemed fitting that the subject was a Pelican because that was the bird I photographed a handful of years ago when I tried out an Olympus camera for the first time. I have enjoyed using their equipment ever since.
