Nutty Blue Jays

November 29, 2020

I’ve had some fun watching Blue Jays in recent days. They do love their peanuts. If it’s small enough they’ll swallow shell and all if they think they can get it down the hatch. Not all of them go down smoothly. In that case they’ll fly off with it and break it apart in some nearby tree. The other interesting approach is to arrange an assortment of peanuts (out of the shell) and stack them in their beak, then depart with their bounty in a wonderful, streamlined fashion. I’ll try to get a shot of that as we go along because, well, it’s cool. Like Blue Jays.
