Muscatine

January 6, 2022

Muscatine Iowa is an old river town. I appreciate it more now than I used to…maybe due to age (and hopefully some more wisdom) I can see how it’s past is rich with history of life and development along the Mississippi River. Life here is pretty quiet compared to the big cities…and I’m alright with that. Despite the small size, we are fortunate too, to have some great companies in the community. They not only provide jobs but in the case of this image, they also help light up the night. Musco, best known for sports lighting, has gotten into LED’s that can be used on buildings and structures, like our bridge here. Go downtown, and you’ll see both of these landmarks…the lighted bridge and the clammer statue, which signifies an iconic part of our past. The two go together pretty well…don’t you think?
