I think if I keep this up, this “fun with flickers” thing might end up with its own category. They are one of my favorite backyard birds for sure. What I find interesting about this image, is you can see the mud on the upper part of the birds beak. It’s been rooting around, poking holes in the ground looking for insects. I hope it found some but fear they may be a bit frigid by now. A consistent side of suet and nuts should tide them over for awhile.
