Indigo Bunting – For Kim

June 2, 2020

Having an Indigo Bunting show up in your backyard is kind of a rush to be honest.  At one point we counted five of them rummaging in the grass.  Thing is, they have rarely if ever given me a good opportunity for a photograph.  Many do not care to use the feeders or sit on exposed perches for very long.  They come out of the woods, do their business on the ground and then disappear again.  It’s hard to miss something this blue though, no matter how far away they may be.  Fortunately for me, one finally got curious and came by to say hello.  What a great way to start the day.  This image is for my wife, who simply loves these little blue birds.
