As spring goes, the backyard has been active with all of our year-rounders. Cardinals, Jays, finches of various kinds come around daily. Some have been lying lower than normal. I caught this Red Belly in a good spot the other day, and was happy with that. This morning though seemed to be like a grand homecoming. Hummingbirds, Catbirds, Grosbeaks, Orioles, Thrashers, and Redheaded Woodpeckers all showed up within hours of each other. I’ll call that a good day.
