Along the North shore of Lake Superior (MN) you’ll find a lot of interesting stops. Beaches, waterfalls, and enough hiking trails to keep you busy for a lifetime.
This is Gooseberry Falls. A great place to sit and relax and just enjoy the sound of the water. We found out this is a pretty popular spot…lots of people through the main part of the day. Go super early or stay late though and you may have it all to yourself.
Full disclosure on this image…the sky on this particular evening was so bland, I tried a sky replacement in Photoshop. I like the effect and all, and certainly prefer this image over the original one…but I’m not sure this tool is for me.
Done poorly, sky replacement can look ridiculous and clearly fake. Done well, sure, you could get away with it…but the photographer still knows it was not what they saw first hand.
As AI takes over the world, I think authenticity will matter more than ever…even if its nothing more than just the peace of mind that one is doing his or her best to remain authentic, no matter what others are doing.
