Goldfinch & Berries

January 3, 2020

In the late summer to early fall, the colorful Goldfinch will start to fade…from this vibrant, almost neon’ish yellow, into something far more drab.  It’s interesting how this matches the dullness of the landscape…the bright berries and leaves will fall away…flowers are gone…and we are left with muted browns and tans mixed with some snow from time to time.  A near perfect match for the winter Goldfinch.
