Get In Line – Oriole

June 4, 2020

April showers bring May flowers they say.  The rains also sprout a wealth of greenery to the landscape which one notices and appreciates more because of the dullness of winter.   The other thing I love about spring is the return of the warm weather birds…and the Oriole would top that list.  They compliment the spring better than any other bird in my backyard.  The Oriole, for all it’s beauty, is not what I would call a cordial bird however.  If one is at a feeder, enjoying his jelly, and another bird comes in for a snack, there is normally going to be a chittering, chattering showdown between the two.  Tolerance is not the norm….so, most do what this one is doing.  He took his number, got in line, and is impatiently waiting for the next available table.
