Comet A3 Atlas, also known as C/2023 A3 (Tsuchinshan–ATLAS) has been gracing our skies for the last few weeks. With the right conditions, meaning the darker the area, the better, some folks are getting a great look at this comet’s massive tail. Unfortunately we had some cloudy days during the peak viewing, and then a full moon right after that. Nevertheless it was awesome to see it and take a few photographs. After passing by the sun in late September, the comet has been heading back into deep space. If you happen to be around in 80,000 years, you may have the chance to see it again.
