A Foggy Morning On The Platte

An early spring morning with the cranes on the Platte river in central Nebraska is always a memorable experience.  Fog isn’t uncommon, nor are crimson and pink sunrises and sunsets.  And as the cranes begin their day, after a long night on the river, you’ll see them often leaving early, before sunrise, in wave after wave.  It’s an ancient ritual for them…and a timeless moment for anyone who witnessed it.
