
Usually the calmest time of day is near dawn…and it just so happens the sunrise makes for a nice backdrop for a frozen bubble. This one wiggled a little bit early on…with just a hint of wind now and then…but once it froze up, it became quite stable for photographs.
The temperature needs to be below 20 degrees for freezing to take place. Interestingly I did try a bubble in the garage but it never got cold enough to ice up. It did however stay inflated for over 60 hours (or 2.5 days plus) before deflating into a pile of soap goo.
