Withering Weather

February 28, 2021

pheasant-hen-2.jpg

The worst appears to be over for those of us in the upper Midwest…record snowfall for the last month or so, followed up with bitterly cold temperatures…made for some tough living conditions for just about everything around here. Pheasants were abundantly seen on the snowy “tundra”, scratching for whatever food they might find buried beneath the hard pack. Thankfully they are tough, resilient birds…and now that the pressure is off a bit, hopefully they can start getting ready for spring…all of us will be happy to see that.
