Touch Down – Bald Eagle

March 8, 2020

There’s nothing all that dramatic with this image…just a eagle landing on an old river snag…I mean they do this kind of thing a thousand times a day, but it’s still cool to see when it’s close by.  Those big wings make the bird light as a feather when they touch down.  This bird is interesting too because it’s in it’s last year as a sub-adult…and you can sure tell it…the head still has brown splotches but not many, and the body plumage is all over the place…it’s a mottled look but still pretty cool.
