Not long ago I was sitting in my truck at a nearby marsh…waiting for some swans to do something interesting. An old man drove up and stopped to say hello. He noticed the camera and asked, “what do you do with your pictures?” I initially replied, “not much really”. And he looked surprised.
But I was quick to follow that up with, “I’m out here for the therapy”.
He nodded in total agreement, saying, “I know EXACTLY what you mean!”
For anyone that’s spent some time outdoors, it’s no secret that the natural world is a great escape from the chaos, drama, and trauma of our regular daily exposures.
I can think of no better place to be…camera in hand, or not.
