The arrival of the winter eagle season around here always stirs up great enthusiasm for those of us with an interest in such things. Bird watchers and photographers can enjoy the viewing as the birds congregate around open waters with fish to feed on. Each year is different and unique…always affected by the conditions that Mother Nature leaves us with. They may not be in the same places or show up at the same time, year after year, but fortunately, they do seem to show up somewhere for those willing to look.
In my “note to self” part of this post, this was the first serious outing with eagles and a new camera, the OM Systems (formerly Olympus) OM-1. It did everything I could hope for it to do in conditions that were less than ideal. This might end up being a really enjoyable winter.
