Some of my favorite photographers of all time shoot almost exclusively in black and white. David Yarrow, Clyde Butcher, and Federico Veronesi come to mind when I think some of the most stunning landscapes or wildlife in a mostly colorless form. Ansel Adams of course is The Godfather of it all to me, but there are many others that were, and are, true masters of tones and shades. I simply tinker with it, but it’s fun sometimes to take a different approach to an image, just to see how it turns out.
