In a past life, I was heavily involved in falconry. I still have many friends who practice the art and from time to time I get to go out with them during a hunting foray. On this day, Jim Taylor and his Red-tailed Hawk Stella, provided some nice opportunities for some aerial shots. Although there are many beautiful birds used in falconry these days, from peregrines to goshawks, the redtail is hard to beat, particularly as an adult bird like Stella.
