Late this fall, the old mill on Pine Creek got a facelift. Fresh stain makes it much darker than before…but no worries, it will weather again in due time. My reason for stopping on this afternoon wasn’t really to capture this but to check out the waterfall. The new camera I’m using from Olympus has built in digital ND filters…which is normally a process where you have to carry some extra accessories, attach them to the front of your lens, darken the scene quite a lot, then shoot a long exposure to make the waterfall look blurry. Fortunately with the EM1X I don’t need the actual filters to make it happen…and the waterfall looks pretty good! Technology rocks…
