After reviewing a few of the videos I’ve shot in the past, this has turned out to be one of my favorites. It was an incredible morning. A family of young Merlins (falcons) was ready to fledge and we timed things perfectly. It was a rambunctious morning with a lot of flying, a few bad landings and a lot of playing around. A very cool sight to see!
This was the first documented nesting of Merlins in Iowa in about 100 years.
Filmed with a Sony A6000 attached to a Minolta 500mm 4.5 FD lens.
