Iowa Wildflower Fields

July 9, 2020

Tiger Lilies have been a part of my summer surroundings for as along as I can remember.  We used to have them out behind our old home in town…and now one can see them almost anywhere along the roadside ditches in rural Iowa.  It really is one of my favorite wild flowers.  I’m drawn to the orange color of course but apart from that, it’s just a stunning flower in shape and form.  I’m not sure I ever met a lily I didn’t like.  And if you give me a field filled with them, backed up with a hint of some Black-Eyed Susans, I’ll end the day pretty happy.
