Successful panning shots are rare…especially with a bird who’s head is kind of moving slightly up and down with every wingbeat. But, sometimes you get lucky and catch a moment where it works out. These kind of attempts with a super slow shutter speed of around 1/100th of a second just keep things interesting. There’s no need to get frustrated with it…you know you’ll toss 98% of the images away…but the one makes up for it.
