Cedar River Eagle

December 18, 2021

Bald Eagles are common here, especially as the weather starts to cool off. This December has been unseasonably warm for the most part, which doesn’t add up to a lot of eagle sightings…but every now and then you find one that’s in a good spot and enjoying its view. And this makes it much easier to enjoy mine. This bird was perched over the Cedar River near a boat ramp…so we parked a bit downriver and just watched for a while as the sun began to set. In the end, I think we all had a pretty good afternoon.
